EC Junior 6, July 9-17, 2011, Pärnu, Estonia

Music festival for children and youth (singers up to 20 of age), EUROPA CANTAT junior 6 brings together up to 800 young singers, who will meet in Pärnu, Estonia.

Festival activities will take place in Pärnu Concert Hall, Art House, Elisabeth Church, Town Hall, open air stages and schools.
Singers and their teachers will work together in 9 different atelier, with professional leaders. They learn new music, movement, share their culture and experiences.

Conductors will be expected to paticipate in Study Tour, to
• Visit atelier rehearsals and observe the work of atelier conductors
• Prepare and discuss these visits together with the director of the Study Tour, well-known conductor and conducting teacher Hirvo Surva
• Meet the atelier conductors for discussion rounds
• Meet Estonian composers
• Meet colleagues from different countries and share their experiences
There will be up to 25 concerts taking place during the festival, and all of them will be open for participants and for local people. On Regional Day the participants will perform in surrounding towns and villages.


Basic fee for full participation July 9-17 (8 day), includes all lunches and dinners).

Advance payment 60 € per person should be paid by February 21, 2011.

There is a low-budget airline (Ryanair) flying directly to Tallinn from London, Dublin, Edinburgh, Düsseldorf, Oslo, Milano and Stockholm.
